Entering In

Hi! Last night I spent sometime in the fort just hanging with God, listening to music, and reading. It was definately a nice time alone... with God :) . The room was dark, the only light was from my laptop, i looked up and saw the clouds and the metalic paper stars on the ceiling.. i was thinking we really need the glow in the dark stars that were suggested..and kinda pictured what it was like back in the day, in the Bible, when all the 12 tribes of Israel encamped around the Tent of Meeting. Everyone has their place, their role. Everything in the Tabernacle was precise, had it's place. One of the songs that I listened/worshiped to was 'Take Me In' by Kutless.

Only a certain person was allowed to enter in, on a certain day. Those who entered in that weren't that person didn't make it out a live. They dropped dead, not that God killed them, only the theif comes to steal, kill, and destroy, God brings life (John 10:10). His presence, His Holiness.. demands pure obedience. God always desired a closer relationship with all of us, through His Son, Jesus, it's possible. No one comes to the Father except through Jesus. Through Jesus the curtain of the Temple was torn (from top to bottom, the details amaze me, God is so intricate and precise), allowing us ability to come into the Holy of Holies, to experience God. He wants us to enter in on a regular basis. He wants us to know Him. Really know Him.
It is my goal to live a life that is most pleasing, respectful, awe-filled, and filled with Him. To spend every moment in the presence of God; to have those quiet, our times, but to be in the presence of God everywhere... To enter in as often as possible...

{Happy Sunday}

Throw it Off the Balcony Thursdays

Hey again! Here's my personal list of things I would like to throw off our apt. balcony:

1.) the Snow ( there is already snow on the balcony, but im getting tired of winter.. that would also be an awesome hideout for a snowball fight as well)
2.) burnt bagel (i put a bagel in the toaster and the dial was set too high, so when the toast came up all burnt, i threw it on the groooouuunnndd.. im not part of your system, you're burnt.. and the threw the toaster tooo... umokay.. not really.. i didn't throw the toaster, or the bagel.. but i feel like throwing it off the balcony.
3.) Pumpkins from the fall (they are still good, not rotting, i'm a little concerned.. an sick of them, it's no longer fall.. )
4.) Water balloons (it would just be fun :) )
5.) a Watermellon (same as above)

I guess that's i have, im in a pretty good mood this morning and don't have many things i would like to throw off the balcony.. but the day is not over so I may have a few to add.. and so may the other girls.
Have a good Thursday..

Dwelling

Hey! Fort progress is coming along nicely. I've been thinking about forts quite a bit lately (whether that's a good thing or not, im not sure heh :) ) But today I was thinking about the fort as our dwelling. We live and dwell in this apartment (and the fort). I love that the fort (when fully constructed) will be a place of comfort, peace, fun, loud times and quiet times, and just a place where we can come and kinda get away from the world. That got me thinking, today in church Pastor was talking about our relationship with God in high def. and how He's always with us and in us... God makes His dwelling in us. Our lives should be a life of peace, fun, joy, loud and quiet times, love, etc. A place where God can be comfortable. And what's also cool is He is our dwelling place.

"If you make the Most High your dwelling—
even the LORD, who is my refuge-
then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent."
-Psalm 91:9-10

If we make God our dwelling, no disaster will come near us! God is soo cool.. and nothing beats Him as our dwelling, not even our fort.
Well Happy Sunday!

Start of the Revolution

So the other day, my roommates and I were conversing about how we really don't want to grow up. Who does? I mean really, all the stress and anxiety that is accompanied by it. Why can't we just stay young forever? It makes a lot more sense if you ask me. And so we started thinking, we needed a place where we could go and do absolutely nothing for no reason at all with no significance and waste our time and our lives. We decided that we're going to build a ginormous fort in out living room. As of yet our living room looks pretty normal:

But stay tuned for updates on this critically important rebellion that will affect lives all over the world. We encourage viewers to build a fort in their living room as well in protest to adulthood. This cause means a lot to us and I think it will mean a lot to you as well.
